The alter in my bedroom is adorned with two artificial sunflowers. During some of the darkest days of my life I stared at those sunflowers so intently reminding myself of the hope and strength inside of me. Watching the sunflowers forced me to literally adjust my posture and with that, adjust my thinking. Sunflowers are my reminder to STAND TALL and seek light over darkness.
